going rate is $100- here, i have a lathe at home so i just bolt them up to and old axle and stick em through and machine it like that lol (dodgy i know does the job though)

we used to charge $25ea for the machining + whatever it cost to pull them off the car.

Fark I asked my teacher the other day and he said I could machine mine at school... that I will do very soon.

without knowing how big your lathe is...you may need an axle as the lathe may not be small enough to fit the centre hole.

wrap a bike chain and spring (accelerator spring..nothing to heavy) around it or it will get a harmonic ring in it and cut wrong..make sure speeds and feeds are right.

I stuffed a perfectly useable drum thinking it would all be right.

Shit, we dont come across drums very often, we sub let a fair few sets of discs out at the workshop i work at.

I would have thought drums would cost about the same as discs to machine....$15- $25 each?

I hope so when i come to have the ones on my 9 inch machined!

i have a large belt (old belt drive) that runs around the drum then down to a home made roller on the bench, helps with vibration and keeps it on the straight and narrow.
I must of learned that exact same lesson as you FastEH, can remember a drum that ended up lookin like an egg lol
