Well, Something i had never really 100% look at was the bore and stroke of my motor!
Struggler pointed it out to me last night.
I have a bore of 3.766, thats 141 thou bigger than a stock 253 (Stock is - 3.625")
And a stroke of 3.180, thats 120 thou more (Stock is - 3.060")
Which in total makes it about a 284ci motor.
I had never really clicked before, i thought most of my cubes were made up from the longer stroke, but its actually the other way around...
So, in theory, with the right cam, my motor still should be a bit of a Revver!! Which is good news in my book (please tell me if you think otherwise!)
So now i reckon with a Cam, Springs, Timing chain and a few other goodies, my motor should really be able to boogie!
Also, seeing as the last cam meant it didnt really rev (4800) hopefully the bottom end hasnt really had a hard life!
I was dreaming up ideas all last night in bed! Can't wait to get started now!!!!

Regardless of the bore and stroke there's plenty of room improvement there, a new cam will wake it up big timeseeing as the last cam meant it didnt really rev (4800)

wouldnt rev past 4800 that sucks haha mine ya gotta be careful that ya dont rev it to hard jumps pretty quick from 5-6800 but then im not overly concerned bout blowing it up because that would just motivate me to build new one faster from the cam you described you have matt ya new one should give it alot more stick
