Well if the breather is too small it can cause problems, but the question is could anything bad come from having a breather line thats too big?

My fuel cell came with 2x -8 (1/2") outlets and the breather line is also -8. So based off that I'd assume that the breather should be half the size of the outlet. I'm only running one outlet so the -8 breather may be overkill, but who cares?

Should there be any some type of filter on the breather line? On a factory setup it runs into the carbon canister but, mine is just bulk headed through the floor.

the short answer is no... nothing bad, the two would be for a blown alcohol scenario as they would make 1 cell to suit all and you use what is appropriate... yes a filter is a good idea to stop debris entering the tank via breather as is a 1 way valve.

hope this helps

I've got a rollover valve built into the cell, but that won't stop any bugs etc going in right? What sort of filter would u recommend? I've got a -8 fitting sticking out the floor, is there anything that will fit straight onto that?
