hi all
I currently have a nine inch that is standard torana width and stud pattern but I would love to convert to Commodore discs and commodore stud pattern as i have a set of commodore drop spindles for the front ready to go.
A few questions?
1:Has anyone done a mod like this?
2:What model commodore discs / calipers did you use?
3:Did you get the original nine inch axle redrilled to commodore pattern?
4:How did you engineer the handbrake? ( new cable? )
5:If i do mod this diff will the commodore rims foul on the shocks because of the different offsett
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated
cheers julian

New axles are needed. It's illegal to weld and re-drill axles. People do it, but that doesn't make it safe and/or legal. Normally you would use VB - VS rear discs and calipers. Just don't use IRS or HSV stuff. The rims could foul on the shockers. Commodore rims are available in various offsets, ranging from +43 to +27. And that's just the factory rims.
