Everyone is pushing for a GMH-Torana race night at WSID to be held in April.

Cooler weather, and less hectic schedules means that we may be able to get the largest number of members attending this fantastic event.

Though a date is needed which will suit the largest majority of people, and we will go from there!

Am definately looking forward to this night, and it will be great to meet even more people than at the last street meet.

I should have my Torailer back by April, so I will be bringing that to carry my spares etc. Im sure some of the others could use some storage area as it was definately needed on the last meet.

hey guys better how better still how about arranging a private day for a weekend,..have as many runs as you want,...only problem you need about 40 cars and about $200 each but great value

I was actually thinking that earlier this afternoon. If we could spread the word out on some other forums, im sure we can manage 40 cars. I know of 5 who will come (including myself), so only 35 more!!

So are we thinking this may be a better option for April, rather than just the Wednesday night?

I dont know how to go about doing this. Maybe a certain someone (Tiny) may be able to inform us on the process.

Id love the private day. Dad was talking to a bloke from the V8Owners.com forums, who said they had theres and he got 27 runs! It would be awesome. Catering was included in an airconditioned box.

private days on the weekends are less stressful than wednesday nights rather than rushing through peak traffic just to get 5 pass if your lucky,every year in august the boys from australian muscle club book the track,i've been to the last 3 off them and had over 60 passes always a great day out,..plus your and family friends can rock up and put on a barby,...anyway only my thoughts

I think TINY has looked into this before. The problem being is that the amount has to be paid for BEFORE the day i believe? So if it gets booked and you pay your money and decide not to go.. Its no refund. Correct me if i am wrong.

It would be a way to have a lot more committed to attending though. It is definately something we should look into again, and possibly do in April if possible.

I havent been online alot, Just saw this one!

I Can defintiely ask John Henman about this option for sure. I'll zap him an email and see what the costs and options are!

I remeber last time i looked in to this there was a limit that no cars can run Quicker than 11.0 seconds, and i belive that is due to insurances and ANDRA sanctioning. That *REALLY* sucked because we have alot of heavy hitters that visit not only this forum, but others i know of that would LOVE this kind of day!

Anyway, I Love the idea, I'll email John and see what he says.

Yep i mentioned this somewhere on another thread a while ago , 40 cars would be easy to get i would think and it surely beats 5hrs on a wednesday for 4 runs. Id be keen for this one :spoton:
