Hey All,

i am dropping a 308 into LX Hatch, hit a problem with the engine mounts, i am using a set of commodore mounts which i was told i could use, but the motor sits to far forward not giving me much room for the radiator, and waterpump and fan.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Regards,

Sasa.

Not sure abot the LC/J but when putting a V8 in a LH/X use HQ to obtain correct engine position

Hi Sasa.

It's the engine mount BRACKETS that are different, the engine mounts themselves are the same.

Toranas use HQ-WB engine mount brackets & Commodore mount brackets only fit Commodores.

HQ engine mount brackets allow the engine to sit lower then orginal LX/LH engine mount brackets there for gives better clearance for the double diaphram booster to tappet cover and allowing larger aftermarket tappet covers and better rocker gear...
