I was giving Michael Turner a hand on the Jansen / Perkins A9X hatch all weekend and as such we were in the same garage as Shaun. I must say that that car is amazing. It has to be one of the best presented cars on the paddock. By the way Shaun sorry for taking all the photo's that I did an getting in your way but I just could not help myself.

Ruts.

Ok, here we go. Here are just some the photo's I took at the Island. The first few are from driveway of the hotel where I stayed. These shots were taken about 50 metres from the door of my room. If anyone is ever going to Phillip Island and want budget accomodation with the best view and good sized rooms give "The Bridge Motel" a call on (03) 59567218. The view was unbelievable. The rest of the pics are just random so have a look and enjoy like I did. I met yellowa9xs at the Pheasants Nest servo and followed him and his lovely wife all the way to the Island, Oh and Bronte the dog.

830hp your car is an absolutely beautiful piece of machinery. It's by far the best group C hatch I've seen and it sounds sensational. For all those that didn't make it this year start planning now for next year just seeing this hatch in real life alone makes it worth the effort. Ruts will agree with me cause we stood there just staring at it.

Shaun: Mate My apologies for not catching up with you mate!

We lurked around the pits somewhere in the middle of the day, but i did not recognise you to say Gday! We came back at the death on the Friday but again couldnt see you! Sorry mate!

It was great to catch up with everyone else however and see your cars up close and driven in anger! it was fantastic!

We had a blast and look forward to catching up in the future!

Cheers :)

I don't know how to scan and then post a photo out of Auto Action, but have a look at page 56 of today's Auto Action on the Philip Island Historics (can someone scan and insert this photo on the Forum).

The guy driving it, Lindsay (GH20 on the Forum), had a great weekend and has ended up with this fantastic 1/2 page photo in Auto Action of the car hooked up beautifully out of Siberia.

Genuine race cars getting driven like race cars is what the sport is about.

Buy this mag just for this one photo.
