You & my mrs belong together!
That 'beetle' just happens to go round corners!
Rather quick in a straight line too!

Yeah, just ask Clarkson

Clarkson is a little shy in admitting that he has had one too!
Just like the May & hamster! Except they still own theirs! :)

Hey.....it's my mid life crisis! lol

Haha I always do mate!

PS. stu.slr - that front spoiler looks like HZ to me.

yeh it was a bit of a thing, the bloke left a note saying he had a spoiler for me, but it was this different one. i was in doubt but even the boss came out and assured that it was torana, and held it up on the car to see it an evrything. wasnt entirely convinced but got it anyway. didnt feel like telling him to get lost. must have had it on the shelf since cyclone tracey or something, so screwed it on as a tempory. at first i thought it was an LJ one. i guess HZ would be a bit wider

This is my daily drive. I don't like driving it all the time cause I hate leaving it parked anywhere. I need to buy another car that I can run around in because I am always driving my parents cars so I can leave this home.

Was only 15 degrees today so I didnt test it.These 660cc engines go alright.I could cruise on 100.I had a Honda a few years ago that would hit 175......Best thing about them is that they get GOOD economy......

Ah this old thread has been dug up again... well since late last year this is my genuine daily driver.... again!

Posted Image

6.3 litre Chev, it makes the daily commute to work much more pleasant! It's funny, this car was my daily for many years, then it became a weekender for several years. Every so often it would return to daily duties again, and now that my hatchback is off the road, once again, I'm back to where I started.

The looks from people, the thumbs-up, the conversations at traffic lights or servo's.... you simply can't beat it.

I have to admit though, even though I live relatively close to work, it still takes its toll on the car. But I'd rather wear it out than not use it. A big part of me is seriously considering replacing the 383 for a stock 350, and convert to gas. Then I can turn my hatchback into a wild animal weekender.... just ideas though...

PS. I know it's hard these days and not always practical, but there is a serious lack of daily driver Torana's in this thread!!!!!

Bought a vy11 ss ute, done exhaust, otr, tune, lowered it & fitted up the black grange rims off the gtr..still got to do ripshift & 3.9 gears before I'm happy with it.

Still preferred the gtr when I used it as a daily for a year, back then it was a solid cammed triple webbered 202 lol.
