May I recommend it be surrounded in a black crash pad and lower dash panel?

Did it all myself and managed to get it in without removing any metal
Down the track (read a couple of months after the engine is finished) the rest of the interior will be done in a light grey.
here's what's underneath:

Looks really good. Since you seem to know your way
around a circuit board, why not mount some capacitance
style switches on the inside of the acrylic so all you have
to do is touch the surface to switch something on/off!!!
Far out I have never seen anything like it. Well done!

The facia panel is piece of 3mm thick green tinted perspex.
the panel i have is the VFD3-1010 see here: WEBSITE
The gauges are: speedo, tacho, fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and temp.
it also has the turn signals, park brake and a heap of other warnings you can configure.
I also have a gear postion indicator sender for it.
I bought it through an Australian distributor. and the cost was pretty much the same as buying straight out of the USA.
Now i need to buy a boost gauge to suit and find a suitable clock at the wreckers.
