Remember bidding on xu-1/gtr items about 2-3 years ago? I can recall gtr wheel center caps @ $50 for 4, gtr dashes for about $80. I even got a set of 72 xu-1 lower control arms for $110. I guess its inline with the increasing prices for the vehicles themselves. Does anyone have any interesting ebay bargains they have won?

i got 2 fully complete lh heater units with 2 heater cores (one was perfect and other has a small hole) and a heater blower fan and motor and duct all for $10. it came in an enourmous box and only charged me $10 for postage.
sold a couple of bits i didnt want for over $50 back on ebay.
i thought that was a good bargain.

oh and a custom made vitrually brand new LH 5 core radiator for about $80 i think it was - or maybe it was $100

I PICK UP A R/T CHARGER FULE CAP LAST WEEK FOR $70 LISTED UNDER FORD PARTS I have seen these sell for $170 or more when listed in the right catogery
5 years ago i got one for $15 in good nik all pricers are going up for aus muscle car parts not just torana , its geting tuff for every one building these tipes of cars....

i have 2 lc grills one 50 with h/l surounds another like 80
my sprintmasters 700 with brand new eagers
now eagers arnt even made :(
these days are long gone but whats going to happen in 50/60 years? people my age (17) wont be into toranas like im not into model "A" fords lol so maybe a xu1 will be worth couple of grand at the most one day?

Worst thing is, we are all bidding against each other!
A couple of weeks ago i bought a GTR original steering wheel for $113.00.
Thought that was a bargain, and a Mallory twin point dissy for my brothers, Chrysler/Chrylsler 1971 CH Hardtop with a 318 in it for $75.00, he was a happy boy.
These things are rare as, only 480 built!

I try not to bid against regular names I recognise from this forum. Also I set myself a limit on anything I find on ebay, this means I often miss out but patience and perseverance pays dividends in the long run. I usually get what I want eventually.
Very often better deals can be purchsed via forum members, it's often worth asking them first and the risk of being ripped off is greatly reduced.
I have made some very good purchases via forum members.

mate ive seen lc tailights that looked mint go for over 150 i picked up one at one store at the bendigo swap last eyar for 20 dollars (marked down from 30) and thought buga i have one mint one wheres its twin and then i looked up it was right infront of me at another different store !!!! identical i paid 10 bucks for it they are both mint
