borgwarna diff into LC

hey guys i was just wondering if i had a vr comy diff housing could i just weld up the ends of the banjo housing to the centre so i dont hav to cut and reweld the little brackets on the diff housing on the banjo. the reason im asking is becuase im trying to do the most i can between me and some friends becuase WA diffs quoted me 2500 for a shortend borgwarna to go straight in so any advice on that whole senario would b good.

Try Phil at Final Drive in O'Conner. He cut down a VL diff that I had for my LC for $800. It did however cost me another $300 through WA Diff Centre to have the centre and LSD set up.

I believe it is not that easy a job to do yourself without the right jigs. Plus you then have to make the axles fit

yeah but the jigs arn't that hard to make....

axels...get done profesionaly.

ok then thanks. i, pretty sure someone gave me his number to call him already. did that 800 calms include shortening the axles and replacing the little brackets for the suspension on top of the housing??
