On an LJ, Is it factory to have the 2 top mounting tabs for an LC grille? They are up behind the panels either side of the LJ grille.

Are you talking about the tag that is located just behind the dropper ?
If so, Im guess here, but when the lj went thru a cosmetic change with grill and headlight surrounds gmh probably didnt see the point ($$$$$) in deleting that part when the dropper would cover it

hi i have a nos nose cone for lj and it has the lugs on it

Thanks guys, yeah thats them. Those LJ droppers have been rewelded in and are cracking which is when i noticed those LC lugs, and i can't read the body number. If they were'nt meant to be there i'd be concerned.

Im sure these droppers were lead wiped then only thin skin of nicky was used but since most of these car have had a front ender the dropper were tack weld in then bogged up thus the cracking.
I just finished fixing the same part on an xu1...cut them off, repositioned (make sure they sit in the right position without bending to pick up screw holes), fully welded then a skin of nicky
