My mates selling his vz ss. I'm taking those big red calipers and discs off, that he paid 2800 bucks for.

1- What would be the best stub axle to use?
2- What do you think would be a fair pay to paid for them?

You would use the Torana stubs as this keeps your steering geometry right
However the calipers won't bolt to the stub
So a new bracket or a modification will need to be made
The discs are floaters so you will also need a hub to attatch the disc to the stub
The hoses will have the wrong threads and lengths
So you'd better be getting them real cheap or you will be overcapitalising to get them on there
When you consider you can buy kits to bolt straight on at reasonable prices these would have to come to you very cheap.
