202 UC: 1150 KG
60 KG isn't much different. Plus the LJ didn't have RTS.

Exactly.. if theyd gone ahead with the 308 LJ, nothing would compare, not even a 308 in a UC...If GMH didn't delete the 308 from the Torana range, it could well have been a different story.

Bog stock 202 with a Strata 2a turbo strapped on the side.
Similar performance to an A9X or a 72 XU1, but not very reliable.
The article is reprinted in the Spotlight on Torana book, its from Modern Motor October 1978.
Reminds me of how George Fury cranked up the boost in the turbo Bluebird to win Bathurst pole then slowly slipped back through the field during the race.
Modern day turbo technology would give better reliability.

Reminds me of a certain Dick Johnson in a Turbo Sierra cranking the turbo right up during the race only to end up in a full on smoke trail!!!!Reminds me of how George Fury cranked up the boost in the turbo Bluebird to win Bathurst pole then slowly slipped back through the field during the race.
