What a horrible (or interesting) trim line: 1900-65A. Who in their right mind would order that? I think it also has a performance rear axle too which means it is almost certainly a retail order.
Haha, my curiosity got the better of me and I had to look it up. OMG terrible.

Yes. I've joked with Leo Pruneau about that, if that was the inspiration for the HX Sandman stripes and LX SS stripes!

Even though some numbers are hidden,
the damage to the tags are evidence.

The worry with those reproduction VIN tags is in 20 or 30 twenty years time when many of our experts are no longer around, all a sudden faked cars become real examples.
LOL...Thats ok, becuase in 30 years the generation that's just born today won't even know what one is or want one!...

I checked this one out, it is definitely optioned with a performance rear axle, so it is a Retail or Dealer or Special (internal) order vehicle. Also being in Papaya and a 4spd. This is a more interesting car to me than an SLR5000 as it is most likely a single digit or at least low digit build configuration. It'd be the equivalent of finding a HQ Belmont sedan optioned with 202, 4spd, buckets, performance rear axle in a bright colour like Purr Pull. Going to see if we can find it as there can't be many L20, M20, GV4 optioned LX B69 complianced in the same year let alone month, be lucky to be one (this car).

Not sure if these have been put here before. Nothing special but does have an error on the BODY ID plate model code that is a cool thing.
