I was watching the HB on ebay to replace the falcon.
But it was auto and had no AC for carting around the squids in summer.

Hi All

I thought that I would bump this back up and get an idea if there is a demand for these grommets that fit correctly.

I too have tried the "Rodeo" version and I find it very hard to do up the screws due to the thickness of the grommets.

So, the plan is to remake these from scratch and have them available as a kit (12 per kit).

I can tell you now, they will not cost $6.00 ea!!

cheers
Mick

The threads for the screws in the alloy plugs are often damaged. It would be worth seeing what it would cost to produce the alloy plug.

those screws are a mystery in regards to the size and thread, etc.

It maybe that I look at remaking the whole thing from scratch as well.

The grommets should be a goer, I am just waiting on the costs..

By screws... of course I meant the buttons on the outside of the window
But if your making them... put a thread we can get easily for the screw

Thanks Datts

Glad you like the Shirt..

I am looking at an M5 x 8 or 10mm screw size. It's the closest size to the original and repalcement of the screws will be alot easier.

cheers

Hi Chris

I would like to see them.. being 2mm Shorter did that cause any greif in getting it all together?

Would like to know what you actually ordered and where from too..

In some of this stuff it's easier to start from scratch due to the odd ball sizes that GM used..

cheers
Mick
