screws were purchased from spillers industrial supplies penrith NSW.
all i did was take an original screw in,they matched it for me,so i cant tell u thread atm.although it will be easy to find out.
assembly made no difference being to 2mm shorter,as i didnt run the washer.the main problem is like u said the thickness of the rubber gromets.from memory i think i tried the next length up,and they bottomed out without crushing the gromet.
i have had 2 pop out on me.one over night at the trimers(6months ago).same one again,in my garage(3 months ago)
also i found the replacement rear quater rubber, from rare spares to be a bit thick.this is also contributing to the pressure they are under.i have used lots of rubber magic on my rubbers to soften them.
if u make the right size gromets, this will help greatly.
i wasnt 100% happy with what i came up with.its the best i could at the time though.
ill pass the screws to graham during the week, and u are welcome to look at my car,if u want to

I have just signed off on the order for the rubber grommets and we are looking into redoing the dome nut and screw. Hope to know more in the coming month.

G'day Mick,
I would be also keen purchasing new grommets, screws & dome nuts.
Thanks.
Hi Ando
at this stage, I am waiting for the grommet samples to be sent across so I can check them before final production. If all is well, these should be availabe in late March
With regards to the dome nuts and screws, we are sending these over for quoting soon and if we do produce them, these should be available in May.
cheers

Just having a blonde moment, why is there 12 in a kit?
Three holes per side glass. Two grometts per hole (inside and outside).
