hi does anyone know if you can still get genuine boot spoilers to suit lh/lx or anyone that does aftermarket ones that have the internal mounts like the originals?

Rare Spares do one that has the bolts in the spoiler so you don't have to put screws through it.

Most aftermarket places have the option of concealed or exposed fixings, you just have to ask.

Is this the sort of thing you are after??
they come as a tweo piece. You fit the inner section to the boot lid and then stick the outer on. This allows you to get a much neater fit. After it dries you simply remove the spoiler and run some sealer around the joins.

Not quite, the two are bonded prior to fitting to the car. The top inner has the nuts glassed in in the correct position, and the rear has bolts glassed in facing into the boot (like original SL/R 5000 installation). An SL/R 5000 bootlid has large holes drilled that will take a socket through the reinforcing ribs/inner skin on the bootlid to access the fixings.

Actually, bolt heads for the rear lip get bonded between the inner and outer lip, and you guessed it, after a while, do start to spin!!!

Basically what I meant except that for an even better fit it was found easier to bolt the inner to the bootlid, with the glassed in bolts, and then "bond" the outer spoiler onto it. This way the inner will fit onto the bootlid nicer and you can get a much neater fit of the outer as well!!

Its basically a "no comprimises" solution to fitting the rear!! You dont have to put up with either an ill fitting inner or outer section!!

All the bolt holes etc are still the same as what you described!!
