Wow look at that, UC's were more poular than LX'sHi All,
Just noticed thread, and got me thinking, so after demolishing a couple of old boxes full of bits and pieces, come up with 1981 GMH FACTS,
here goes from Booklet - Under heading of Holden Milestones,
1974 - 76 LH Torana Total = 71,408
1976 - 78(77?) LX Torana = 41,375 Sedans, 8,527 Hatchbacks
1978 + - UC Torana/Sunbird = 53,007 .
As far as I know, these Booklets were put out for Shareholders in GMH.
Will get a Pic up if any interest.

Funny how they mention UC Torana and UC Sunbird but there is no breakup into sedan and hatch. And LX has a breakup of sedan and hatch but no metion of Sunbirds, just Toranas? I know lots of people now incorrectly refer to Sunbirds as Toranas, and incorrectly call all HQ-WB Holdens Kingswoods but GMH was very careful and specific in what words they used in their literature. Strange.

Was taking to an old fellow at a swap meet,
He worked at holden putting together the shells.
From what he could remember there was about 11000 torana hatches built.
Of those about 3000 came out with rear discs.
Like I said he couldnt remember the excat numbers.

Think about it! If there were less LH 5000s built, how easy it is to get bits for one of them?
I do wonder how many UC SL/E were ordered with rear discs though.
