The signing of Triple Eight will not have a significant impact on the Holden Racing Team, although it could take a funding cut.
But other teams in the red camp, including Kelly Racing and Garry Rogers' Valvoline team, could have their support trimmed or ended.
Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Also I wonder what will happen to the other Ford 888 car teams like Jim Beam racing Part of the strenght of the sport is that there are two manufactures if no is driving Ford then who is Holden compeating againest HRT verses 888 and Ford just fill the last ten places on the grid

I thought mr Lowdnes was a Ford man thru and thru he left the great Holden team at the height of their powers to join Ford, so not really sure he will the deadicated Holden man this time around either.
I don't think so. I seem to remember Lowndes being shafted by HRT.
Too many big names with money in the team at the time and someone had to go.

Holden has struggled to win 10% of the races for the last 3 years...I doubt it become a GMH whitewash...there are other Ford teams out there...and Stone Bros still do heaps for other Ford teams.

Dont forget he signed on with the team for 3 years last week. He would have known what the team was up to well before this day came around. If he wasnt going to be a dedicated Holden Man, he wouldnt have sighned a 3 year deal. V8SC has long lost its place as a sport...its all a money making fat cow.
Teams will go where the money is. Part of Vodafone signing on for 3 years would have been the knowledge that they had JW, CL & 888 as a total package. It makes for a very good investment.

Ford didn't back 888 this year, hence the hogs head where the blue oval was.
They have paid dearly for their lack of support, I admire their balls to tell a boss to shove it and move on.
Holden, smart move, but in saqying that it could also be the end of the two make series.
Toyota were intersted in 888 and still may have feelers for a team???
