You don't need a spare tire to pass rego. If you do have one, it needs to be secured, do you have the plate/bolt to secure one?

Buy a new set of locknuts, and get a new key. They are universal fit, and I'm sure every good theif has one.

I don't know where you buy your locknuts from Yella but they are certainly not universal where I get them, wouldn't that kinda defeat the purpose
Try a good sharp set of vise grips and once on put a length of water pipe over the screw part of the handle of the vise grips. and GODD LUCK!! ;)

Or just take the car to World of Wheels in Queanbeyan, they happily change over wheels for rego purposes. They'll have the adapter. ^ yup, but don't let the truth stand in the way of good marketing.

I usually hammer a spark plug socket over the locknut to get them off.

Ugly yet effective.

Thats generally what the tyre places do the days Struggler, bash a socket of some sort over the lock nut, I just didnt want to advertise how to get them off due to wheel thieves but I guess any thief worth his/her slat already knows this trick ;)

Its like any security item they slow the crooks down they don't stop them all together, most crooks are lazy and would rather find a set of wheels without a locknut. But if they want your wheels they will persist.

Yep.. except that you'll need 4 sockets... usually the sockets break or the nut is jammed so hard in there the socket becomes throw away.

OH.. and dont miss while swinging the BFH (Big Effin Hammer)

If all else fails, a hammer and cold chisel works every time.
