Nostalgia Drags Collie

I had a look on the website and it would seem there is a major rift between Motorplex and the Shannons Nostalgia Drags organisers don't know the full story but i do know that i have scored a job at Boddington gold mine and am about to go to the Kimberleys for the last time for 2 weeks tomorow then i will be doing 8/6 roster so will be home for either Nostalgia drags or Narrogin Revheads depending on start date .
Whichever way the coin lands i will be going to one or the other but would prefer Nostalgia Drags from past experience it is a great event with laid back "real" people willing to share "experience" with anyone and there is allways a great variety of cars competeing .
who's up ?

I was wondering how many cars would make it to Collie as it is only 1/8th mile track but was pleasantly suprised by the Quantity and quality of cars .
I could of sworn "Tizzle" was there
but it obviously wasn't then i spotted a Papaya hatch that i swore was Tony "LX308"
I went up to introduce myself and after about 5 minutes worked out that all of my comments "can't believe it is all together" "Jeez it is running sweet i didn't think it was finished"
That is a completely different car but it is very very very tidy and tough as.
This SLR5000 lookalike
This car was just finished and ended up running 2nd in street machine class a very nice car .
Gary Meyers was even there haveing a few beers in the bar scopeing the joint for "Gazzanats" i think .
Anyway had a great day good to be alive.

Not Papaya though.... unless its my monitor
Papaya always looks pale to me... thats more Valancia or Lone O Ranger
Or a custom mix maybe

Anyway didn't make it out there yesterday, had in-laws down. Made it out there today and took a heap of pics but didn't recognise anyone or any cars to go say hello to.
The local black hatch was running some very good times around the track!

That hatch was seriously sweet 355 VN heads detailed to the max run 11 flat the owner reckoned .
He fully spunout when i explained to him about your car .
I went to the Meelup Hill Climb today my "local" event for the year which was pretty entertaining probably not as good as Collie would have been look forward to seeing Dan's pics
