I had a look at the rare spares webpage but they look like lc gtr door trims with the gtr badge missing but is not correct.
Thanks

If you got direct thru polyweld you may get it cheaper.
Also there was a fella not that long ago on here promoting himself as a car cleaner but also selling original style interiors...
David his name...not sure on his work, but reckons his the best..

The only thing i don't like about them is that they havn't got the metal upper section.
I know the lc gtr's have the upper metal section and sure the lc xu1's should have it as well.
I know the torana s hasn't got the metal uppers are the Lc xu1's the same..

Im glad your honest about the roof lining, it just takes patience to fit.
Photo's would be greatly appreciate, your car would be a star on the website if you dont mind as we dont have any photo's of that model
Again glad your happy with the outcome,

I'm still trying to work out what i'm going to do with the lc xu1 door trims i got as they are incorrect.
They don't have the metal uppers and are like standard s model with xu1 pattern.
I don't want to bad mouth polyweld until i get in contact with them and see why they are made like that..

I can't believe they made them like that i hope all the after market ones arn't like the one's i got.
I don't think i will even use them thats how rediculous i reckon they will look even though i paid good money for them might just have to bite the bullet and look else where..
Nothing like the original gear all this after market stuff is junk, Another example i was about to buy a new lc xu1 steering wheel horn sticker and after looking at the sticker decided to keep my old one complete different..

maybe you need to have a go at the seller who you bought them off as if you look at the ad it states they are
MATCHES GENUINE ARTICLES AND ARE VISUALLY AUTHENTIC/ GAURENTEED THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED
i dont really no to much about your situation as we no more about the lx's than lc/lj when it comes to trims, but what exactly is it missing, like the chrome strip or something...
im disapointed that your not happy with them... we take great interest in interior products obviously and who makes what and from what this company states in advertisements you would think they no their stuff

I also sent you a email showing the problem, basically it's to short at the top and it will expose the metal on the door. You can put vynel their but you will see a join and won't look good.
On the standard torana s thats how they are but not lc gtr and lc xu1.
The seller didn't know as well he purchased them from polyweld and was told they are a authentic match to the originals.

Hi Gtrboyy i've posted a few pics of the door trims, I think it's pic5 see the back of the template they use LJ as you can see the ashtray.
Even that isn't a good idea as it will make trim weaker if you push on that section.
See how the top of the door trim is short at the top, That should go all the way up.
Picture 6 is of a original door trim.
Where i have marked in red on the original mine only go up to their.
If you can show them it will be great as its very hard to explain..
Cheers

Those trims look fantastic. I'm lucky to have clean original trims, except, the chrome (silver, technically) strips have pretty much peeled and look horrible. I'm in the process of restoring these. Any idea what the ones on your new trims are made from? I think the originals are silver tape.. but I haven't been able to find any locally. I may have to give this polyweld place a ring! Maybe they'll tell me their technique

It is a long and challenging exercise to get right but looks quite good afterwards.
What I did on my LC GTR doortrims was to get the windscreen mylar (encased in plastic) and actually sew it on with thin wire. My doortrims were past the point of repair so I didn't mind making them look a bit better than they were.
