Thornleigh maccas overflow carpark is the meeting point-
http://maps.google.c...004123&t=h&z=19
its out of the way of all the whack jobs at maccas and it will have loads of parking.
I will take a run up to the picnic area on saturday or sunday this week to see if they have BBQs.
If they dont have public BBQs at mangrove, then it will probably be option 2 as its easier for me to get a BBQ to there.

Will throw up some photos of both places.
Im going to buy the meat a few days before the cruise to avoide me being stuck with a shitload of sausages I dont want/need from people who pull out.
So slap it on the calendar and tell the missus you are going toranaing!

The only negative for Mangrove is the parking, the picnic area has a few parking spots, but not all that many if there are a few tourists already there.
I can nip out to braithwaite park today.

To make it easier on you, I think its best if you just make the call on route & destination and everyone will go along with that. I'm sure we all trust your judgement

There are about 20-25 parking spots off the street, and many more down the edges of the park.
I took a few photos that I will have to throw up tomorrow (no card reader on the uni computer! and an exam in 45 mins)
There are onsite BBQs, massive shady trees, big open paddocks to chuck a ball or im thinking if enough people turn up, a game of GMH-cricket.
Close to the freeway for the trip home too.

Is everyone keen for a communal BBQ?
and BYO drinks?
If we can sort out how many are coming (definites) then I can sort out how much its going to be per person for snags and bread/sauce/serviettes etc.

There are a few more shady carparks behind where I took the photo (and to the sides)
Lots of shady spots to pull up a chair/rug for some food though.

Would it be better/easier chris if people just brought their own meats?
I might not bother BBQing i might just bring some sangas.. or skip lunch altogether?
People can bring their eskies with their BBQ packs and there is ALOT less stress for you mate!
Cheers!

I just thought that some toranas might not have space and cooking ten or fifteen different peoples meats on one barby is a bit of a hassle sometimes.
I better get my finger out of my rectum and fit the radiator and thermo to the LJ!
Im not turning up in anythign other then a/the torana this time! (might borrow the XU-1 if I stuff up somehow!)

Personally i think as i mentioned above that if everyone bring their own meat then it will make everyone's life easier!
I think we just need to make a decision so that Chris knows what to do!!
Cheers!

I really need to know what everyone wants to do by tomorrow (so I can get organising)
Im noticing a few people missing from this, most notable is Keith! did he use the last of the SLRs mumbo in tassy?
