G'day all....

Just thought I share this with you all.. Took our HQ to Whyalla 1/8 mile on the weekend...

I was lucky enough to win the SA Streetcar Challenge bracket in round 1 of the Charlie Dennis Trophy.

My best time was 7.85 at 88.85 MPH

...I can't wait to get my Torana finished and take it over to Whyalla... It will wheelstand if the way the HQ hooks up is any indication....

The HQ has a 330 Stroker (253 crank offset ground and indexed stroker).... 327 sml journal rods, Keith Black pistons 10.8:1, big solid cam custom, L34 heads, Crane gold roller rockers, Edelbrock single plain intake, 650 holley, Ice ignition, 3400 Hi stall, T350, 9" with 4.11 richmond gears, solid steel LSD hat. The engine was built by Chris Milton Engine Developments.

I was in the process of fitting a Cheater NOS system and MSD 7al-2 and timing retard but I don't want to run any faster than 7.70... so I can stay in this class. I think I'll now fit the NOS kit to my 355 Torana hatchback build.

These old school strokers rev very freely and sound sweet with the exhaust off.

Don't believe what you hear... Drag racing is alive and well in South Austalia!
