8.8 seconds at 137mph is very quick, considering its running on batteries is even more impressive, and that was 6 years ago too.
Ive known about that site for a few years now, i have an electric car on the drawing board....
Anyway, how about a car that runs on compressed air?

Something to look forward to?

Yeah its awesome stuff.

An electric motor has tonnes more torque than an internal combustion engine.

With a motor at all four wheels awesome performance can be had.

I saw a drag race with a modified GM EV1 against a 'king of the hill' Corvette
and a CHAMP car. 'Vette got off the line first, then over taken by CHAMP car,
then EV1 over took them both. It was modifed, but showed the potential.

The US has pretty much recinded its laws on electric vehicles which is a pity
as the technology just gets shelved for a few more years...

I have often dreamed about an electric car, with speakers out the back
playing whatever 'donk' I wished through a laptop!!! F1 today, 454 straight
exhaust tomorrow... would be fun.

them electric cars sound crazy, i didnt know people drag raced electric cars - or they even existed for that matter.

apparently electric cars wont be actually do any environmental good until electricity generators are all green, as in no more coal stations etc.

Years ago, I think it was GM that wound out an electric car to nearly 300 KPH. They're not that slow, are they?
