Do the HSVs have T56s and the SSs have T5s? I would have thought that was a five speed

Gonna make any changes or is it good how it is?

Only GTS had the T56 and the 215i Senators. The 185i Clubby/Senator has 5 Speed.

No real chnages...

I'm not going to do it half arsed... i've spent 23k on the torana so far... thats enough for now... need another 20ish...

202 is back in it now anyway for summer!

Investment? How long you planning to own it for?

Looks like a nice car though, will be a good cruiser while the torana is being built.

I had a vs senator 215 6speed back in the day
what kinda dollars they fetchn now
I bought mine 4 30k with 27k kms on it in 2001 on had original recipt for 72,500 hahaha
sold it with 60k on it for 28500 a yr later
was a fun car bar the hydratrack diff

what was the issue with the diff?

I think those Hydratrack viscous centres are known for reacting inconsistently

the hydratrac centre isnt the best
would spin one wheel all day long outa corners
aparently if you keep them serviced they are better
best mod you can do is get a std lsd modified with 3.9 gears for it
the 3.45 is a tad long in 1st and 6th is useless
mine would do 200km at 3k in 6th if i remeber correctly

if you just want to cruise it around you will b stoked

i wish i had the cash to lower mine properly and instal 3.9 or 411 diff gears with a tight lsd when i had it
it spun 245 hp at the wheels with a tune, modified air intake and the rear resonator replaced with twin 2.25

i agree they are a nice car i have a botanica mica vs senator 215 with the 6 speed box leather seats motor has been worked cam ect and starr manifold made 225 rwkw i still prefer it over some of the newer v8s sounds so good with the cam
