Just putting the final touches on the XU-1,
orange one is finished, purple one is finished.
Green one will be done soon, just needs the new rear trims and seatbelts and an oil change.
Cant wait!
Our central coast convoy is departing Long Jetty (outside our old workshop) at roughly 6.45 if anyone is keen to tag along, roughly 8-10 cars at the moment, more welcome!

I just had a T/fest V.I.P make my day.
The lovely Bev Brock rang me to wish me a full recovery...
Naturally she was in POP's car at the time as they were returning from the cruise around Newcastle, lucky guy that Barry lol.
Her words about my car - it's looking resplendent....Now that will do me.

torana fest is over 4 me atm :(.
i came home after the cruise.my car wouldnt stop.the key is jammed in the run position 4 some reason.pulled the coil lead off,motor stopped.
stripped the steerring column,down to coffee pot and barrel.the barrel is jammed 4 some reason :(.
having dinner.then back down to see what i can do.doesnt look promising.

Fingers crossed mate! hopefully you can get it sorted.
Maybe just bypass the barrel for the day, might be the better option (so put it all back together and just hotwire it to start it)
We are all ready to go, just put the new door trims and seatbelts in the XU-1, oil changes done, purple one is about to hit the trailer. orange one is under a cover waiting for morning!
so freaking excited!

well what a great night, just posted up more pics into my photobucket site.
popss had a great cruise today with bev brock riding in his car.
the vic torana club had a bit of bad luck with one car having a crash then blowing up his diff. then another worn out his cam shaft on the way to toranafest. just a few pics but click on the photobucket link for all the others.

In the third photo down it looks like Barry is wishing Keith 'all the best' yet again hahaha shades of the great Tasmania Tour....
Sorry to hear of the accident and breakdowns, it's the last we expect on a run!
Appears that running repairs were looked into and hopefully performed with success.

Today has that "Christmas Morning" when you're a young tacker anticipation about it. Just concerned I could get Torana sensory overload and take a nasty turn............ what a way to go! See you all there shortly.

Well what a day!
I got up there around 9am and there was something like 272 cars. It was a different day for me today as I was not entered but still good to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new ones. This show is just getting bigger and better every year.
Was a pity to hear some cars handed defects on their way to the show this morning. Pretty poor if you ask me. I know Pat (YellaSLur) was happy to show off how poor the cops were in handing out defects as he had a defect for his wheel widths which he slipped under his wipers for all to see.
Anyway, heres a link to a few photos I took just to get you guys started.

In all seriousness someone needs to have a quiet word with the local coppers as the event wont continue to grow if some asshole in a blue uniform decides to canary the cars attending, lets face it most cars can be defected for the most minor of things if one wants to look hard enough.
Most coppers are good and know to leave us alone however it only takes one!
The fact they are handing out defects to attendees will certainly make me think twice about attending.
It's a different matter if said cars are hooning and or annoying the public.

Yep, was a fantastic day. To the forum members I met on the sat night and today at the show, was good to meet you guys. Hope to see you again next year.
