Im looking at taking the hatch down the strip next week on a wednesday night meet. Is there anything particular required for Scrutineering.
Do I need a radiator overflow bottle? As im not running one at the moment.
Cheers

we had a guy turn up at a club day we organised & he was wearing shorts,t-shirt & tongs, he didnt even bring a helmet, he thought the track suplied all the gear required.

As for helmet I have dirt bike helmets but I think I will go and buy an open face helmet as I want to do some speed events such as hill climbs.
Not bad for $50 if they did supply all the gear lol.
Would motorcycle shops be the best to find a helmet?

As for helmets, I got mine from "On Two Wheels" in campbelltown for about $90. Make sure it is the correct number (AS 1698:2006 is the current i think. Not 100%)
Have a blast mate and dont forget to post times!

Best to do it right and find a UC or A9X style reservoir and fit it. Then you'll always have it when you need it.

The scrutineer just grabbed the overflow line and shoved it in the washer bottle problem solved he said,
But i guess it would depend on the scrutineer.
good luck you only have to go once and your hooked.

Note "minimum 600ml" which is so you can cable tie a coke bottle in!!

Nope, that still fails at Heathcote, Maddy had to put a Coke bottle from her Overflow reservoir. Same with my Ute etc.

The one I have ordered will be ok though?
Yep, i raced with one similar to that b4 with no problems, they basically don't like the overflow hose that drops to the ground.

Drivers of vehicles slower than 10.99-seconds (1/4 mile) are permitted to use any helmet (full-face or open-face) meeting one of the following Standards:
 SNELL SA2000, SA2005, SFI 31.2A (USA)
 SNELL M2000, M2005, SFI 41.2A (USA)
 BS 6658-1985
 AS/NZS 1698:2006 or AS/NZS 1698.
So yes, you can wear an open face helmet so long as you don't break that designated time.

There's Sydney City Motorcycles at Kograh, Caringbah Motorcycles in Caringbah and Mitchel's Motorcycles (I think its called that) at Kirrawee on the Princess Highway before McDonald's. Sydney City is a big store with everything and the other 2 mainly specialize in services, some parts and gear. Can get address and details if you like.
