Just wondering if any wheels were optional on the LX SL Series for the sedan and hatch and if so does anyone have any pics of them?

Cheers

These wheels were optional on all. They are pictured on my old LX. They were made by ROH and were 6.00 x 13. There were a few variations on the market but the genune ones had a push through centre cap with the Holden Lion logo. I think Leaky has them on his new hatch.

Hmmmm. I've got a set similar to that on my car. They aren't original but they did come off a Torana if that means anything. 13", 6" too.

Are they worth anything hah hah
- I know they're not

Id rather leave stock wheels and hubcaps on then magnum jellybeans.

jellybean wheels are worth very little indeed. And worth even less in the small size. IMHO

I was told by a guy who owned a Holden Dealers in the 70's that they offered Aunger HotWires as an option on the LX. does this sound right or was it maybe dealer specific. I know Brock had Aunger sponsorship in those days so maybe it was a Holden option.

Hotwires were not a factory option, some dealers fitted them though. It's the same today, if I buy a VZ Dunnydore, some dealers will option aftermarket wheels if I want them.

I am just after the original look with after market power. If anyone wants to swap a set of torana steel rims with SL Hatch hubaps for my hotwires they are welcome hehe. Can only try! :D
