Brett Stevens Transport - hauls alot of aggregate out of the Yatala area to concrete plants all across SEQ.

If the courts (that is the gov) are selling off your stuff then you cannot buy it back.  That is showing contempt to the judicial process and they will spank you for it.  Have you seen anyone buy their "hoon laws" impounded car back?  I would assume that that would be a similar issue, whether they chase it is a different matter.

BTW he will have had all funds frozen, so buying a can of coke is probably a prob at the moment!

Quits racing - Dec 08

Indicted Feb 09

They have been going pretty hard up here to clean up drag racing, as there has been more criminal activity than the rest of the country combined, so we'll see what happens.........

Grant..

PS. They DID NOT find a pill press on any of his properties - if they did it was at an associates address.....

open letter from Brett Stevens...if you want to see the proof he puts up follow the link and get it that way...pretty sure theres no need.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter to explain to you the situation that has arisen this past week. I understand that numerous national news channels and publications around Australia have led the public to believe that I was caught with on my property, or in my possession, a large quantity of drugs, drug manufacturing apparatus, and huge amounts of cash, amongst other illegal items.

This is totally and utterly false and a great deception that is once again an attempt to destroy my character or what is left of it.

As proof to verify that these implications are completely false, I have included with this letter the
property receipts from the police themselves, of what was actually removed from my properties in which there is nothing illegal in regards to any of it.

Note:

1/ There was absolutely no drugs or evidence of drugs found or removed from any of my properties as was portrayed to the public by the media and police.

2/ There was absolutely no drug manufacturing equipment, pill presses or anything else that relates to the manufacture of illicit drugs found or removed from any of my properties.

3/ There were no large amounts of money found or removed from any of my properties.

The only money taken was approximately ten thousand dollars which was from my daughters Skye’s money box, the cash floats from our merchandise trolleys, merchandise that my wife Kathhad sold on e-bay, one days banking from our business and some money that Kath and her family had put aside for her brothers head stone on his grave.

I don’t mind admitting that financially it is has been a tough time of late, but if I was this person that is being portrayed, would I be in the financial difficulty that I am in now? I wish I had the millions of dollars in cash they said I had and then I would pay off all my creditors.

I don’t want you to feel sorry for me, but what I do want is for you to think about the person that you know and have dealt with for the past number of years and please don’t judge me on the unjust ‘trial-by-media’ that I have received. I don’t know how, but I need to get the truth out there as to what really happened, and I would appreciate any help in regards to this.

In closing, this is going to be a very tough time for my family and I hope that none of you will think badly of them and will give them the support they deserve. Please spare a thought for Kath and Skye as they are the most important things in my life.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Brett Stevens

Infact after reading that I've changed my view slightly from "he's guilty but the court needs to find that" to hoping that justice is served..either way...not defending, not prejudging...if the evidence is there he'll go a row..if its not he'll go free.

Grant he was charged with drug manufacturing and trafficking what do you think that pill press was used for i will give you a tip it wasnt used as an engine stand.you now quite well who it belongs to i hate people who defend drug dealers scumbags.G:furious:

Without calling you a dickhead, where did I defend the schmuck? All I said was they didn't find it at his place. No moron kingpin EVER has anything on their property. So the burden of proof will be in the forensic accounting and other tasks the Police will now complete. I have said for many years that the trucking company and the sponsorship could not pay for 10 group one operations PLUS all the trucks etc. And that has been a common opinion for a very long time up here.

Read my posts - it is obvious how I feel, and I don't appreciate anyone saying I defend drug dealers.

Grant..

Just an observation...The PP in Qld has taken a hammering in the last 2 years on lack of evidence in other cases that have walked on technicalities...with 77 people arrested...I just reckon they would be pretty sure they have a case ...a water tight one at that...before they ventured down this path...they don't want any more bad publicity...time will tell...

I hate drug dealers with a passion that comes from having to drag a close family member out of a drug crazed lifestyle before she ended up dead.

But I hate the media with almost the same passion - they don't even go close to telling the truth and distort what information they do have to make a good story.

I think it makes it very hard to have a fair trial by jury and is the reason why if I ever had to go to court (again) I would choose to be judged by a judge (again) instead of 12 people from the street who either want to get it over and done with, allow their prejudices to decide their verdict or allow themselves to be stood over by one loud mouth juror who think they know it all.

So don't judge, speculate, slander or comment on Mr Stevens until the court verdict is given. Although if he is guilty I hope he gets the maximum jail term. And with the proceeds of the sales they can give me back some of the hundred thousand dollars it cost me to get me loved one off that bloody ice shit and away from the drug dealing scumbags.

And on the topic of governments doing the big brother thing - have you all seen the WA laws that allow police to stop and search any person they want without any excuse or suspicion or reason to believe that a crime has been or is being committed. The European Human Rights Commission (or someone like that) have said that this is against their laws and I can see why. Bloody draconian law that one.

People - just my 2 cents worth

Seems some posts here have gotten off the subject - gotten a bit agro - do we need that here ?

Whether he is guilty or not - I dont know - and to be honest - really dont care - but - until such time as the verdict - and I think in QLD it is still innocent until proven guilty - lets not be led by media hype - political bull$hit and as tough as it is - personal experience - people are still innocent until proven guilty

(although given how broke the state is - they will do anything to raise revenue - never know - premier Bligh might use any proceeds for a face lift...... or a personality transplant.........)

OK - 2 cents worth up

Bye for now
