Hey guys,
I think its about time we start organising a drag day/night for the people in NSW. I know the name of WSID is now Sydney Dragway, but WSID is much easier to type :P

I was thinking we could either organise another full day, though this requires (if i remember correctly) 45-50 cars for it to go ahead. Or we could organise a Wednesday night run, but we may only get 5 runs compared to the 15-20 you would be gauranteed on the full day.

So i thought it would be best to chuck up a thread and get some feedback on the idea and when would be the best date to head out.

Cheers,
Mitch

***JUST ADDING SOME IMPORTANT INFO in POST 1!!** - Cheers Tiny.

Ok, Well I've Emailed ( and spoken with John on the phone) John Henman, And i've booked the date!

Pending his reply, We're now officially racing again on SATURDAY July 10th 2010 at WSID Sydney Dragway!!

I've also asked about the maximum cap of 50 entrant cars, So i'll just wait for confirmation of that number, but last time the limits were:
MINIMUM 40 Cars
MAXIMUM 50 Cars and we had 47 entrants previously.

Again I will organise this the same way as last time:
All monies to be paid UP FRONT and NON-REFUNDABLE (Unless we get rained out and I Recieve a refund, which will be donated to a worthy charity... Just Kidding.. It will be refunded equally to each entrant.)
WSID rules and regulations will be strictly adhered to
Spectator tickets will again not be available on the day, they will have to be handed out by an entrant racer. spectators wishing to attend will need to organise PRIOR to the event to ensure they get entry tickets.
Photography ( and hopefully) Videography will be included in the entry price. I will discuss this and the cost more when i get the price.

Thats what I was hoping we could organise this year moot. Last year was fantastic and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I guess the hardest part would be numbers though. I guess i could start putting together a list and we could see how many we could get and decide from there. I was thinking around March/April.

Entrants:
1. Mitch
2. Kranke
3. Youngy
4. Moot

Great to see a lot of support for this day! At the moment it looks like a Private day is the way to go.
I think we need to get an idea of a date which people are happy with. So are there any saturdays around march and april which people prefer/not prefer for this day?

lol why not

Private race days (affordable ones anyway) are limited to 11.00 passes due to insurance safety requirements. Half track passes are acceptable !!

If its mid March on count me in !!

This is good news for us 6cyl guys.

You V8 fellas go as hard as you can for the first 1/8 mile and then we overtake you at the end. Perfect. :P
