Good to see that car.
Just a comment, I wouldn't say that carby is too small. Dont get trapped into the bigger is better thing. Ive done some calculations and a 454 revving to 6000 only needs 670 cfm airflow at max revs of 6000. So I would be thinking the 750 is quite OK.
I had a 750 on my 383 chev and ive gone back to 650 cfm. Works a lot better.
I dont know a lot of your engine specs but from what you have said I reckon the 750 would be good.
Oh and Rowan... talking about colours.....
How can you go past BLACK again ??

I prefer these over the 67-69
And I love split bumpers
So... hows it go ?
Oh I'd keep it purple too

My mate has a HQ monaro coupe with a 454 virtually same specs and he has a 850 double pumper on his and its perfect size, but we'll see. Its got alot more balls than the 308 did so ill get used to it how it is for now.
Datto - not sure how it goes properly yet - only driven it about 200m. But its very sedate to drive (sounds like it wants to punch you in the face though) on 1/4 throttle - but give it a little and it picks up instantly. haven't hit full throttle yet

I'm more of a 69 fan, but i would be proud to have that in the shed!
Any plans to change it to RHD?

RHD it would bastardise it, haven't seen a nice job done on a 70 - 73 yet. Plus they are then worth less, and its cool driving on the wrong side of the car on the left hand side of the road

Just little things to get it on the road, like heater box, rear view mirror, sunvisors etc - its just saving thats the big problem

Will the bellhousing from the tko fit straight across?
#18 _AGGRO_
Posted 06 February 2010 - 01:43 PM
So I'll have the bellhousing up for sale if anyone wants or needs one!

no, the TKO bellhousing was for a 308. They are a bit different to a Big Block Chev
So I'll have the bellhousing up for sale if anyone wants or needs one!
yessss that was one of my less bright moments, 308-tko would also work for 304-tko yeh? If so first dibbs.

id keep it purple and i wouldnt change the seats to all black they look goos as they are
if there was purple inserts on the door trims it would suit the seats more
