Made up the worlds biggest G clamp out of a defunct valve spring compressor.
I think this might come in handy later in the build too?

Now that's going to be handy for those hard to reach places. :clap:

Pretty sure we never actually had cars at the same drag day, but sounds like Vick knows more than I can remember.

My project is looking sad, 2715km away at the moment, the old mans LC is nearly done though

So there's been a bit of work. The battery area is all but finished. Just a bit of cosmetic bogging still to finish.

While waiting for bog to dry I moved on to the next bit which was the end of the plenum. I knew that the plenum was leaking into the pass side floor pan and guessed that there would be rust.

To access this I chopped out the LH plenum side plate which was also rusted.

Made up a tool and made a patch to cover once I've sorted the plenum

Made up a couple of tools.
An extension for the drill to wire brush up into the plenum and an adjustable jack stand so I can swing the hoist leg out of the way to tackle the sill.

Just keep the speed low Steve or it will start to wobble. 3/8 rod with 3/8 unf thread cut onto it to suit the chuck off an old burnt out drill. Variable speed drill.

Patched the plenum and repaired the top of the "A" pillar. Braced the door frame. Started cutting out the bent sill. Found a use for the fridge. SO THERE!
