Hey guys,

Great forum! I'm after the tare weight of a HB Coupe. I'm looking at one for my next project and am doing some somes in regard to capacity-to-weight restrictions and the like and can't find the number. I'm pretty sure it is around the 800 mark, but I don't know the exact figure. Thanks in advance to any of you who can help.

Is Tare weight the same as kerb weight? If so 1969 2 door = 1728 lb, 1969 2 door S = 1744 lb & 1969 2 door SL = 1770 lb.

I don't know from memory the exact amount but 800 kilos would be about right.

Hey Guys,

Just another one - does anyone out there know the weights of the four door versions of the HB? Would they be heavier than the 2 door variants? The NSW RTA go off the heaviest sedan version of the car for capacity to weight purposes. Thanks in advance.

1969 HB S 4 door = 1803 lb, 1969 HB SL 4 door = 1827 lb. These weights are all from the 1969 shop manual and the owners manual for my 68 says to add 66 lb to any of these figures if the car is an auto. Hope that helps.
