Just interested in making my own custom centre console for my LX. I refuse to pay the over inflated prices for second hand ones, and value for money ones are as rare as rocking horse s***.
Does anyone have instructions with photos of how to make a custom console, or know of a website where there are instructions? I want to make one similar to original, with slight improvements.

Hi guys, i just modded up my own console today. Still have to cover it in Vinyl, but looks OK just in Black paint.

I think a lot of people would be interested in a PDF containg the dimensions. It would be a good starting point for many.

Mmm, I made one for my first Torry almost 30 years ago. Sold it with the car. Made a plywood frame, and got it professioonally upholstered. Looked the goods.

I am planning to make a mould out of the original one then make it from carbon with a fair few mods. Would be just as easy to do from fibreglass but a fair bit cheaper

Looks good MandarinLH, but might I suggest rounding the inside corners so the trays are a bit easier to keep clean? I always find that dirt and crap makes its way into the corners and even vinyl covered that could be a pain
