Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great easter! :D

I have another question for you all about my diff.. I bought a 9 inch diff & put it in my lx torana about 2 weeks ago & it was clunking & whining really badly, so i took the centre out to get it fixed (apparently i needed a new hemisphere) (note to self-dont buy anything from ebay ever again!!) anyways, the guy apparently fixed it and he has given it back to me, BUT its still making noise, the noise is sort of in between a whining & a clunking (not anywhere near as bad as before tho). anyways, the guy told me that because the 9 inch has such big gears and its so big in general, there will always be a bit of noise.. does anyone know if this is true or is the guy just trying to get out of fixing it properly??

Thanks in advance :D

Jo

Apparently, Motive diff gears can be noisy. They are about $220 cheaper than US Strange gears, which is why people use them. Obviously it's virtually impossible to diagnose noises over the internet, but here's hoping this may help.

P.S. I don't buy off Ebay either.
