` I'm up for a Wednesday night run. Also the XR6 Turbo forum is looking to have a day at Eastern Creek soon. Maybe we can help make up their numbers too.

Disappointed as I thought the car would get into the 13's. Needs a better clutch and tyres to get there though.

Yep, its a G-Tech RR Pro. However I had problems with it on the day as the windscreen style mount wasn't holding it securely enough and it wouldn't work properly.

I was using it as a shift light and it worked well for that purpose.

When I left that day I was really really pissed off with the car, in particular the clutch and swore I'd had enough of the drags. But like most guys on here I'm addicted and will be back at the Nostalgia Drags later this year trying for that 13 second pass.

Next time I might even use two hands on the wheel!!!!

your car has the speed to run a high 13s judging by your 98.5 mph which is slouch...pretty impressive

Great Video craig!

I hope the video that boxer took works cause my Gopro wide angle has a stuffed microphone and the one i swapped in to the car was set to photograph mode!! :Headbang2:

Mitch: I'm never bitter about getting beaten mate! It makes me hungrier to be better within myself! It's a good thing! It's often easy to think HA... i'm going to blow this bloke's doors off.. it's just a "x" sec car.. but thats the Beauty of DYO! It's the great equaliser!!
And for anyone that was with us at our first drag day at Heathcote... we held a DYO bracket, and had 2 cars run a "DEAD HEAT"... which means they left at different times from the tree.. but crossed the line at the SAME TIME.... to the 4th decimal place!!!
Heathcote had never seen it happen before and so took a copy of the time slip! hehehe!

Struggler: Thanks for the comments mate! It's crower 00356 - I'm pretty happy with the combo, and having run only 11.8 in the testing part of the morning to go to an 11.65 and consistant 11.7s showed me that the car did indeed like the fact the pipes were off.
I'm thinking i might get a new 3" system made for the street/track and just drop tailpipes rather than the whole system and i think that will be the best compromise!
I'm a little surprised though i thought i might have made up a bit more time... still crossing the line at 6000rpm so i think i might need to look at something else!

Andrew Paps: Mate your car is simply stunning! It's a credit to you and thanks for coming along for the day, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Once again thanks to everyone who came along to race or to watch, and those who helped out all the way through!

If anyone hasnt PMd me with their postal address Please do so so that i can forward the CDs with the videos and photos on them!

Cheers
Tiny.

Lee, everytime I came up to say Hi you were busy so I didn't bother you. So what was the performance increase with the new heads ?

Hi andrew yeah sorry mate shame we didnt get to chat definatley next time mate
As for impovements with the heads its still doing 1.6 60ft which i really hoped would drop to 1.5 but in saying that i was really under prepared would have liked to had a play with the rear end i dont feel its hooking up as best as it could but to still run in the 10,s pump fuel, air filter, exhaust and semi slicks
makes me happy

That grin was very much on show when you came back from that run Lee, it made my day...

I would like to thank every body for supporting the event. Tiny and simone for organizing it.

For myself it was a pleasure to be there and help out with the procedings and to speak to a great bunch of people...

Thank you

Wayne

Thanks Unclefesta. If you watch this video you will see your staging and launch from behind.

Sounds excellent - except the bit where a chunk of rubber/track hits my windscreen :D

After almost a week of sorting and resizing I have finally pressed the "upload" button for the photos....

http://www.motorspor...MH-Torana/2010/

They may take a couple of hours or so - there are about 5,150 all up..... So keep checking back and refreshing the screen

The DVD is almost ready - hopefully by the end of this week, then I will send them off to be duplicated and made look pretty...

Then once I get them back they will be posted out so make sure you have given your Name, Address and Car rego to Tiny so I can get them posted out to you all...

Cheers
Jason
