Looks like things are going well.

We plan on getting one & doing it up when TC has left home (ok so that is many yrs away yet, but still looking and getting ideas).

Personally prefer the barn door jobs - dunno how hard they are to find. The plan is to get one from a friend in Nimbin ;)

Ususally an awesome display at the annual Picnic at Hanging Rock in Feb!

Look forward to seeing the rest!

here's a pic of the colour chosen. also the painter has decide to go with the black and white checker board roof :)

the spary booth we will be using isn't big enough to spray all the panels off so next week we will be puting some colour on the inner jams and undersides of all the panels that have been removed.

Clinton that looks awesome. Nice one. Do I assume you're a painter by trade?

Hey clinton. I saw your original (unedited) post and agree with you about others comments. Very nice job on the beating of this thing. Looks really good. I know how hard they are to get looking better than new. Nice work :spoton:

Aaahhhhh, that brings back some memories : )

I did a kombi camper for a friend a few years ago. Was a pretty rusty unit, but turned out quite well.

Don't you just love the big flat panels that aren't straight from the factory : )

Plus, to top it off, it was a rust bucket too : )

Wow that has come along really quickly. And its beautifully straight. Must have been a bitch doing the roof and sides. Nice work.

cheers everyone, the body has come up nicely still does have a few shape ripples down the side but most of it is just reflections from the such large panels. pics always make it look straighter but we are still happy with the way it came out especially for something that was only going to be a tidy up.lol thats never the case tho.it still need a nice flatten and polish but that should be fine with the two nice coats of 2k on it. . mick we have been getting it done as quickly as possible i have to many jobs on after this and the owner has no car! the sides were a bitch but the roof wasn't to bad even tho it had hail damage on it from the storm we had a few months ago.

I agree with you there. It's super high. Pity you're so far away, I do exchange adjustable lowered beams for kombis and beetles, and beam narrowing if needed.

Definitely go with the checkered roof.
