Mitch, the auction was held today - Monday - and the HRT427 was passed in at $295,000, but in another thread REDA9X said it got sold, so hopefully RED adds a reply with what it sold for.

1977 lx sedan first car that i built to what it is today a car that will run once the hole in the fueltank is fixed haha
1993 vq statesman 5.0 daily tow car has a blown mototr at the moment after torry rego this gets a rebuild so it will have some more balls
1975 holden ute cheapie of ebay didnt look like it had that much rust but i was oh so wrong chopped it up for parts
1974 hq sandman was given to me a lil while ago its not doing anything till i have a house i may have to re shell its pretty rust but its 308 straight gas muncie 4speed and salsbury lsd

Hi. mj411...long story......back in the day before this type of forum/info was available.....
Car was LX 5litre, factory Tuxedo, factory air, factory houndstooth? insert seats etc etc or so it presented............only prob was later on it was determined to APPEAR to be a LX SS front 1/2 + sedan back 1/2 stuck together after an unknown drama......doh...stil loved it though.......then it was hit by a DUI ( as per these pics)...and rear 1/2 was salvaged and grafted onto an other LX front 1/2 ( by insurance co. who didnt want to write it off!)..poor old thing didnt know what it was by the time it was over...ha ha .
Thus...to answer your question...not sure.....everyone who looked at it back in the time when I first got it ( 2nd hand) couldnt see how the SS front / sedan rear job was done..too neat to see any joins etc...thus I guess it could have always been a ADR plate balls up at holdens where it was stamped "LX ' Coupe', instead of 'sedan'...but unlikely.
It did have correct Tuxedo paint code..so it was either a nice Black SS that was crashed and had a sedan arse grafted on, or a Black sedan that had a SS front grafted on. Only ever had doco with the chassis number on it, which I posted on here some time back, with no takers on any info.
Most of that is from my old memory...so apoligise if its hard to follow... Col
p.s. some guys who did work for Parramatta Rd dealers may have more info??....

HT Kingswood 186, 3 on the tree, first car bought for $1000 sold for $2000
73 LJ XU1, still regret selling it!
VC SLE 308 TH350 auto fully optioned, factory sunroof, cruise control etc.
1992 Suzuki GSXR750
Toyota HZJ75 Landcruiser
VS Commodore ute V6 Auto
Suzuki RMX250 Dirt bike
AU XR6 (Brilliant car, back when the XR6 had the hot Tickford engine, stiffer suspension etc)
VR Commodore ute (2nd car)
BA XR6 (again an excellent car but didn't quite have the sting of the AU)
2004 Yamaha YZF R6 (sold it before i killed myself!!)
2005 KTM 400 EXC
2006 Toyota Prado Diesel Auto (Present)
2005 Holden Crewman (Present)
1977 Torana Hatch (present and never to be sold)
