IN FEBUARY I HAD A PAIR OF BLACK SCHEEL RACING SEATS OUT OF A A9X COMPLETE WITH MATCHING REAR SEAT COVER TRANSPORTED BY XXXX XXXXXXX FROM BRISBANE TO MELBOURNE.THEY ACCEPT THAT THEY WERE ON THE TRUCK BUT DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. THERE RESPONSE WAS THAT THINGS FALL OFF BACK OF TRUCKS QUOTE. THEY ARE INSURED BUT HOW DO YOU REPLACE THEM. THEY ARE BLACK SUEDE MATERIAL AND ARE AS NEW. ANY BODY WITH INFO LEADING TO RECOVERY OF SEATS A REWARD OF $250 WILL BE PAID .REGARDS KERMI

Please do not mention company names, PM Kermi if wanted.

That's crap !!! I wouldn't accept that "Things Fall of the back of trucks".
I think they owe you a better explanation.

Will keep eyes open and ears to the ground for you.

I am in the transport industry. Stuff does go missing, sometimes accidentally, sometimes deliberately. Stuff does get deliverd to wrong places. That's the main reason. It's also the reason why I personally deliver everything I sell on these forums.

Yeah but Chopper, it sounds like ^^^ the transport company agrees that the seats were loaded onto the truck, but have no further record.

I accept that things get delivered to the wrong address ( its happened to me as well ) but this one sounds sus - very sus.

They are simply trying to get out of paying up. If they admit it was sent to the wrong address, then they are 100% liable and have to cough up.

either way it sounds like theyre happy to pay the insired value... but as has been stated the money is worth less than the seats themselves!!

Cheers!

I think most of us check EBAY quite often.

More than likely they will turn up there or in Trading post.

If they go in his/her car, word will get around.

Sorry to hear this has happened. I had a sinking feeling
when my car was being transported up from Adelaide.
Took an extra 2 days and I got told it went up to Mt Isa,
down thru Brissy and then to Sydney. Sounded like crap
to me. I was sure she was 'misplaced'.

I think the Torrie community will hear of them though.

Hope it works out for you.

Sounds likr the driver saw something he liked or one of his mates did. I had some stuff delivered with a transport company once and had it all sorted with the head office to pay the driver on pickup. The bloke said straight out to me, mate if you give me the cash, it will be gone. I couldn't believe he told me straight out like that. When the company chased me up months later for the money I told them the story and they didn't even care. Lucky I didn't give it to him, I would have had to pay twice

That's exactly the point I was trying to make, and that's why I would probe and ask more questions.
