height for lj rotisserie

hey i am looking at making a rotisserie for a 2door lj i just want to know what height the centre of gravity is so it can be spun 360deg with ease. also what thickness materials should be used?

hi , i made mine with the pivot point at bumper level,it is top heavy,but i can rotate it 360 degrees on my own, if i was to do it again i would make it pivot 100 to 150 mm above bumper level ,cheers Rodney

Do yourself a favour and make the pivot poit adjustable then you can use it on different cars and as a bonus if you decide to sell it borrow it out when you are finished with it you will have a much better chance of getting some money back.

hi clinton,my pivot height is 1200mm which is more than high enough,i agree with 71xu1 though,make it adjustable,cheers Rodney

yeah i do plan on making it adjustable but i want to get a really good heoght for the LJ. i dont want to just drill holes every few inches or so
