That's coming up ok... Don't like the way the intercooler is plumbed in but without a forward facing TB it's hard to do it any other way, I spose.

Where'd ya get the blue radiator hose? Can ya get red ones?

VL's dont look to bad, mech i used to work with said when they came out you could balance a 50c piece on its end on the rocker cover while the motor was running they ran that smooth.

That doesn't surprise me. The counterweighting setup in even the 3L RB motor is really good - far more sophisticated than the Holden 6 unfortunately :(

Only downside to the RB30 was the shitty electricals (too many sensors) that went with it.

Exactly!
After i had changed startermotor #6, & alternator #9... the whole VL appeal had worn off!

I still like them though.

Tell the owner to use a tape measure when he fits the number plate.

Nice job. They make a really attractive engine bay once they're smoothed out

blocked back with 180,400 then 800 wet, guide coating each time
Posted Image

then i put some etch primer on the bits i have gone through, rubbed over those bits with 800 wet
Posted Image

the paint doesnt cover very well i should of put down a grey ground coat but didnt have any so 5 coats of base covered it well then 4 coats of clear

Nice work. I was surprised at how many spot welds holding down the battery tray. Looks like an over kill.
