Before you go pulling everything apart, plug up your cowl drains and aim a garden hose into the scuttle panel........ If the inside of your car floods, you'll need to do some rust repairs! Posted Image

lol.... I kinda did exactly that when I gave my SL/R a squirt all over with the garden hose a few months back. Is this a good enough answer?

Hahahahahaha! The thing that sucks about it is all the spot welds that need to be taken care of to get the cover off! All the effort for something that is never seen. But it's still got to be done. If I didn't have do do this type of repair, I'd have my engine bay smoothed out already. :(

Geez Notna! Look at all that crap in the hole!

I finally finished the bloody thing today. Yipee! :) now I can start the fun stuff...... Engine bay!
Firstly, I filled up the plenum with water to see if there were any leaks. Success! Not a drop to be seen. All the water ran to the drivers side drain except for about a tablespoon of water that pooled on the passenger side corner. I fixed that by putting the original drain hole back where the water pooled.

I'm pleased with that weld. Being one to brag, I get full penetration on all my butts (hehe!) and fillets, however being such a small piece there was a chance that it would get too hot and blow through. It didn't, and I celebrated in true Duff-man style..... Ohh Yeeaah!! (pelvis pump) :)
