Does your car have engineering for mods ?

I found this
A modified exhaust can be made legal, but it's fiddly. The exhaust has
to be noise tested by a suitably qualified exhaust specialist who must
provide a noise test result form and attach a plate to the exhaust system,
then the vehicle and paperwork must be inspected by a signatory engineer
to confirm that everything complies. The engineer will keep a photo of
the exhaust plate and a photocopy of the noise test paperwork, and issue
an engineering certificate. The engineering certificate and vehicle must
then be inspected by an AUVIS inspector to complete an "Adjustment of
Records" form. The engineering certificate, adjustment of records, rego
and owner's licence must then be presented at a registry, where the
original of the certificate is kept be the RTA, the duplicate stamped and
initialled and returned to the owner (must stay with vehicle at all times)
and the rego papers are reprinted with the details of the engineering
certificate added to the "Conditions" section and "Cond. GO96" added to
the rego sticker under the VIN to indicate that there is a certificate on
the vehicle.

Failure to carry the engineering certificate is a defect in its own right!

Yeah down the bottom of the papers it says it's "Modified as per enineers report no FML #### MP." Dunno what it's engineered for though.

That "enineers" is actually on the papers too. RTA musn't have spell check. :P

It means you've got to wear your prescription glasses and a Groucho Marx nose and moustache while your driving.

my car has GO96 on the rego papers cause it's engineered for a 5L, you should hit the RTA up for a copy of the report.

My old HR said it had an engineers report for something. I tried the RTA for that but they said the report should be with the car and reckoned they couldn't help. Didn't have the GO96 on the sticker either from memory...

So you don't know why it's on there either?
