This is the second one we got a bit more creative with this one the gun turrent had a working smoke machine and red globe wired to a flasher relay so it looked like it was firing. All the kids loved it.
Some before shots
Now this one survived for another derby due to the front brakes locking on and the welds in the diff snapping i just got bogged.

This time i got 8th out of 31 which is not bad because the first lap i yank down hard left on the steering wheel to ram someone into the wall and snapped the steering shaft so i hit the wall and had my wheels half left for the rest of it but that didnt stop me with no front breaks it was like pulling the hand break when i used the pedal so i steered buy that.
Here it is back home after.
And that was it from last season we had a small car derby i had a pulsar but it wasnt that great.
I will post pics of the zl fairlane we are using next time when its ready/

Theres no limits on them just need a roll cages helmets and neck braces your not supposed to run into the driver and passanger doors but it still happens the pic from the inside of the first car shows the 2 bars bent from where we got hit a valliant reversed into us from half track.
Noone i know of has been seriously hurt but you get pretty soar for a few days after.

A guy i worked with i Sydney 20yrs ago used to do Demo Derby, one day he told me about all the "cheats" some people did (not what he called them as i think he invented most of them), but things like putting railway line inside the front chassis rails.
A real sneaky one was cutting off about 2 inches of the wheel arch/gaurds, then re-attaching with mostly bog, this way when you got hit, the bit just broke off instead of restricting tyre movement.
