I am trying to piece together all the brochures that were produced by Holden in marketing the HB Torana. I would really like to know if a separate brochure was produced for the introduction of the Series 'II' Brabham. These are the ones I have collected so far;

  • HB Series I Brochure printed May 1967
  • HB Series I Brabham Brochure printed Nov 1967
  • HB Series I Brochure printed Feb 1968
  • HB Series II 69 Torana large Brochure printed Sept 1968
  • HB Series II 69 Torana small printed Sept 1968

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Cheers for posting that mate. Nice pics/info.
Lol at the one with the horses, I reckon they'd beat the HB. :P

Might be a bit of a squeeze in a HB.

Great collection on these much mal-aligned forgotten Toranas :clappin:

Not many like the HB's but it's good to see someone collecting these pieces of memorabilia as once they are gone, they are hard to replace and the info from them is like gold to the restorer of these tiny Toranas :spoton:

Regards .... Barry

This is great!

I especially like the accessories brochure.. Those wheel spats are cool!!

Interesting that the seat belt was an optional extra back then too.

I would be great to see more of these, for the other models, up on here as well..

cheers
Mick

I have 2 x sets of NOS factory headers/engine pipes off a HB Brabham at home, if anyone ever wishes to restore one!

Funily enough the series/type II Brabham is the only "performance" GMH product outside the HK GTS327 and HQ GTS 350 coupe to have a separate model for the performance package ie HK and HQ GTS327 model code was 1837, whereas all the others like XU-1, L34, HQ GTS350 sedan, HDT Commodores etc were option packages on lesser models. (I didn't include HT and HG GTS350 as there was an auto version with much less engine performance with the same model code).

Hey Yel327

So does that mean the Series II Brabham was model code 82811 and 82869 whereas the Series I Brabham was model code was 82611 as it was an option on the SL model?

I'm pretty sure that is right. I'm away from any documents at the moment to check.
