So does that mean the Series II Brabham was model code 82811 and 82869 whereas the Series I Brabham was model code was 82611 as it was an option on the SL model?

To my knowledge there was no 4 door Brabham Torana, so the code 82869 can't exist. I've not seen any GM-H paperwork that ever mentioned the 82811 model, but I have seen 2 real life cars with this code on their body plate. Does anyone have any GM-H literature mentioning code 82811 ?

The GMH Identification book from the late 70's has the following in it;

HB Torana 67 - 69

Code
82211: Torana 2 door sedan
82411: Torana "S" 2 door sedan
82611: Torana "SL" 2 door sedan

82469: Torana "S" 4 door sedan
82669: Torana "SL" 4 door sedan

it doesn't mention the Brabaham..

Series one –Brabham option code 'XS5'.. Apart from fitment of goodies no way to determine if made from factory. Engine code 22HB.

Torana 2-door 82211

Torana S 2-door 82411

Torana SL 2-door 82611

Series two model code 82811 on body id tag.

Torana 'Brabham' 2-door ONLY 82811 Engine code 22HB.

Torana S 4-door sedan 82469

Torana SL 4-door sedan 82669

Hi Guys,
I have just picked up another HB can you tell me what the tags say,

82811bl119535 is the long thin tag

Body HB82411-4991
Trim 1150-42G
Paint 567-1704

It has all the Brabham fruit but what dose the plates say.

Trim 42G should be Goya Red.
I believe 82811 was the Series II Brabham model code. Before the Series II was released the Brabham Torana shared the SL model code of 82611.
Yel327 should be able to shed more light on the subject for you.
