This is a little disappointing at an event like Muscle Car Masters. Cool race cars and always great to watch - but at MCM?
Surely something else would have been more suitable?
Sad that there is no NZ stuff this year. They were amazing race cars.

Its going to be interesting on the weekend as its showering and is forecast to stay wet until later Saturday evening. I reckon its going to be a bit slippery in the 'Car Corral' display area.
The Harvey A9X looked very lonely sitting at the back of the pits getting rained on.

What a great weekend out there. Bit disappointing to see the loss of high profile display type cars - no Bowden cars this year which is a tragedy for the event and I know many people were disapointed in that.
Here's some pictures I took on what was a busy but successful weekend with the STP team. Car is in one piece and ran perfectly except for a broken fan belt in the Saturday afternoon race - when Ed was coming second. Bummer.
The racing Foulcans always look fat and sound tough.
My younger brother on the right with his son in the middle. I love this picture as it shows the car infection under way, although as a 10 year old he can already identify nearly every car in the pits :-)
30 years ago it was me dragging his Dad around car shows and car racing.
This is the car that Des West drove in the first round of the ATCC in 1960. And yes, that's him sitting in the drivers seat!! Amazing stuff.
The car was 'found' about three years ago at Wallsend near Newcastle when they had big floods. Its been mechanically restored but Des told me that the paint is the same acrylic finish he applied in 1961!!
He is such a great guy, dressed in his white racing overalls reminded me of how simple car racing must of been back then.
Plans are already underway for us to be at Sandown in early November.

Once that side of it is sorted then it will appear on Youtube.
The stuff where he was racing very close to Jason Richards in the Marlboro Harvey hatch is very good. Jason came up to him afterwards and said how impressed he was with the STP car's speed and how it was driven.
Colin Bond was with us on Sunday and drove the car in the Master Blasts. Hell of a nice guy and loved the car as well. Will post those videos when available. Its interesting to watch his driving style.
Alan Grice was on fire at the Saturday night dinner. VERY funny and better as he drank more red wine.
Rocket, when you are at Speed on Tweed keep a lookout for my brother. His work is sponsoring the event and he will be doing some demo runs in his LJ Torana. I had an invite but just cannot get there.
Looking forward to your photos.

God damn those cars look great in their livery colours and sponsor names
The SuperV8's just don't cut it with me, too much like a Formula 1 show.
Might try and get up there for the Saturday next year but as the missus and me run our Fathers Day Swap Meet that weekend, I'm not all that hopeful
Regards ... Barry
