hey so I picked up my blue 3.3 today for my UC and I found out it came with a tri matic.
I am building this car for a burnout/drag/fun car its not going to be my daily driver
and I was wondered what box to use.
I already had a M20 for it but maybe going auto might be better for what I want to use it for?
what do you guys think I know there are plenty of guys out there using one or the other so was your advice ( pro and cons for both options ) should I go tri matic or M20?
what can be done to a trimatic to beef it up etc
cheers antony
tri matic or m20?

i would only ever put a manual in my car, coz there so much more fun.
and they feel so much faster, u can churp wheels u can brake quicker, more control if u was slide the tail out.
for a 6 i recon manual is the way, for an 8 a trimatic would be ok for cruising.
Burnouts are better, and u can spin em right up like nothing.
although there not as strong as a trimatic and do require replacing the clutch. a slipping auto suck hard though!
if ur gona spend money on an auto, shift kitting or manualized or shifters ect, u could get a tough celica 5sp
Just my opinions ^^

I would put an auto in a drag/burnout car and a manual in a street/circuit car IMHO.
